Mike Lee Productions was founded in 2005 by Michael Walden and Lee Russell. Both have always had an avid interest in movies and particularly how they are made. Two years followed where they became a registered company with Companies House and produced experimental in house projects like a Star Wars fan film, Bounty Hunter, Clones, Mirror Man and other shorts. In late 2007 MLP acquired a unit in Cwmtillery and converted it into a fully working studio, complete with green-screens, lights, microphones and an editing suite. In mid 2009 the company relocated to premises in the heart of Abertillery offering much needed extra space and in early 2010 the company welcomed two new faces in Paul Jeffreys and Connor Lloyd. The company continue to produce short films and have ambitious plans for several motion pictures which are in various stages of development.
